Nobody Could Have Anticipated.......(fill in the blank)
God's Own Party's Reich-Wingnut noise machine has been shrilling for years about kickbacks and bribery with Saddam involving the UN oil for food program, and of course, how it was the Clenis' fault, or something like that.
Not too surprisingly, Kindaincompetentleeza Rice thought that Nobody could have anticipated that somebody could have easily figured out that she was on the Chevron board of directors when all that shady shit was going on.
“Chevron, the second-largest American oil company, is preparing to acknowledge that it should have known kickbacks were being paid to Saddam Hussein on oil it bought from Iraq as part of a defunct United Nations program, according to investigators. … At the time, Condoleezza Rice, now secretary of state, was a member of Chevron’s board and led its public policy committee, which oversaw areas of potential political concerns for the company. Ms. Rice resigned from Chevron’s board on Jan. 16, 2001, after being named national security advisor by President Bush.”
And of course Cheney did business with Saddam also while at Halliburton, but like everything else, that couldn't be anticipated either. Nothing to see here, move along.
War profiteering sub-human piles of steaming, putrid, semi-solid shit.
