Same shit, different day
Concerns arise over yet another bogus, numbnutted nomination by th' Deciderer

Retard McJeebus' choice to head the Consumer Product Safety Commission did a heckuva job -- as a lobbyist to block a "fire safe" cigarette.

Michael Baroody, head lobbyist at the National Association of Manufacturers, pressed then-Gov. George Pataki of New York in 2000 to veto a bill requiring that cigarettes sold in the state be "fire-safe," meaning they self-extinguish if left unattended.

"As members of the Senate learn more about Mr. Baroody's record, we're hopeful they will judge (him) by his personal leadership abilities and clear commitment to consumer safety," White House spokeswoman Emily Lawrimore said with a straight face.

Sigh. My old boss had "personal leadership abilities" too, right up until the moment the SWAT teams took him out in a hail of gunfire.
