A snag in the plot
"Oh by the way, that whole thing about Kennedy airport going up in a cataclysmic, tarmac-melting fireball? Yeah, it wouldn't have. Ssshhh - don't tell Fox News." -- comment on teh intarwebs.

[A]viation experts cautioned Saturday that the alleged plot targeting John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York would have faced numerous hurdles, not the least of which is the fact that jet fuel does not easily explode.
Or that the suspects never obtained any explosives. Or that they would never have gotten past the new and improved security. Duh.

Yep.

Jet "A"Fuel is nothing but cleaned-up kerosene. Everyone Thinks it must be some super-volatile stuff, but it is less flammable than gasoline.

That's just 'reality based' criticism! How would THAT ever help the Neo-cons turn a screwball plot by 4 or 5 goofballs into an incarnation of evil necessitating code yellow [or W(ever)TF it is], breathless newcasts of impending doom and the resultant political climated enabling more 'Patriot Act' legislation that is necessary to control/distract the multitudes from asking too many questions about the disparaties in the US??

I figured the fbi(ss) set up these poor bastards. As with every "plot" chimpy's SS "uncovers" the evidence is scant at best. Soon they're just gonna inter everybody who doesn't agree with the chump in charge.

mf is correct, I perform welding of jet fuel pipelines and bulk storage tanks as part of my everyday business. Less explosive than the gasoline you put in your car is correct.

You would have to pressurize the vapors and give it an ignition source to make it go "boom." Or else it burns like in your kerosene heater you use in your garage during cold months. In fact, jet fuel can be a substitute in your truck's diesel engine, I have done so. It's not TNT, people.

It was that knowledge, of refined kerosene's properties, that first led me to question how "jet fuel weakened" the WTC towers steel I-beams until they collapsed.

Simply put, that is bullshit.
