White House denies prior knowledge
Oh... of Abu Ghraib abuse
The White House on Sunday insisted that Bubbles McDrunky first learned about abuse at Iraq's Abu Ghraib prison from media reports, contrary to assertions by a former top general that Bush likely knew about the scandal and by WH spokes-tools that he never reads media reports.

New Yorker interview with former Maj. Gen. Taguba pretty much puts this to hell. Rumsfeld and his cronies, at the least, knew this was going on and knew it was intentional, if in fact they didn't order it. And just for extra funzies, it appears Rumsfeld lied to Congress about that fact.
