Senior GOP senator deserts Bush's failed Iraq "policy"
No, not that one, the other one. No, not him, either. No, the ... here:

In another setback to Awol von Stupid's increasingly deadly piece of crap war strategery, GOP stalwart Sen. Pete 'don't call me surrendermonkey' Domenici said he wants to see an end to combat operations and start seeing US troops heading home from Iraq by spring.

"We cannot continue asking our troops to sacrifice indefinitely while our preside... ahem, while the Iraqi government is not making measurable progress, " he told his mirror this morning.
He was later joined by conservative Rep. John Doolittle and the former Director of the NSA under Saint Ronnie of Reagan, General J. "Bigballs" Odom in calling for surrendering and cutting an' running actually supporting the troops.
"The final step should be to put the president on notice that if ignores this legislative action and tries to extort Congress into providing funds by keeping US forces in peril, impeachment proceeding will proceed in the House of Representatives. Such presidential behavior surely would constitute the 'high crime' of squandering the lives of soldiers and Marines for his own personal interest."
