Fun Factoid: When Congress investigated President Clinton's the almighty Clenis' pardons, President Clinton waived presidential privilege and allowed his White House advisers most involved in the decision to testify at the hearing. The Committee was able to conclude there was no evidence Clinton misused his pardon authority.
Hysterically hilarious fucked fact: Rep. Conyers sent a letter to Bush Monday asking him to waive executive privilege and allow his aides who participated in the commutation discussions to testify before the committee.

The way the Prezdunce makes these I won't allow statements sure sounds like a dictator who is used to dictating how things are and will be. Yep, we've got a dictatorship, alright.
I pretty much agree with 'peacechick mary' about the Bush dictatorship, though I would catagorize it as a 'lazy, low-level' grade dictatorship, with Cheney as the dictator and Bush as the frontman/stooge because he's the more personable of the two (BOY, is that 'feint praise'!) I think the Reboobs 'elected' (sic) Bush back in 2000 NOT because of any program he suggested, but because he would essentially be a distraction that would hopefully allow them to do what they wanted while he occupied the US public with some incidental bullshit. It wasn't working that well until 9/11 happened - - then it worked SO well that Cheney/Bush were able to push through outrageous laws and practices (ie;'signing statements!'). Since Bush is being revealed now, he may have to curtailany new outrageous crap, but he's mucked things up so badly (ie; the Supreme Court, the tax structure, etc) AND he's set the precedents that future ACTIVE dictatorships could use for REALLY NASTY stuff...
Is there some Skull & Bones type ritual oath he's making his staff agree to or something?
