It is essential, and that’s why we’re going to continue to pursue this effort.”

And the latest news from Iraqnam only demonstrates that the desperate insurgents are on the run and in their last throes, if you will.

Suicide Bomb Kills 25 in Northern Iraq
A suicide bomber slammed his truck into a densely populated residential area in the northern Iraqi city of Tal Afar onMonday, killing at least 25 people, police said. At least22 others were wounded and an official said the death tollwas expected to rise.
BAGHDAD - The bodies of 18 people, including two women, were found dumped across Baghdad in the past 24 hours, police said. Most of the bodies were found in Baghdad's predominantly Sunni Arab western Karkh side.

BAGHDAD - A barrage of mortar rounds at a petrol station killed 11 people lining up to fill their vehicles and wounded 15 others in eastern Baghdad, police said. Six people were wounded by mortar rounds at another petrol station in a nearby district.

BAGHDAD - Two U.S. soldiers were killed in combat in Baghdad on Sunday, the U.S. military said.

A suicide bomber hit a Shiite neighborhood in the northern Turkmen city of Tal Afar Monday morning. Initial reports gave the death toll as 25 and the wounded as 22, but the tolls are expected to rise.
