Leiderhosen-wearing US preznit asks PM if he can see the Alps from hotel.
For George Bush, it was a gaffe waiting to happen.
The similarities in sounding between Australia and Austria led Bush into an embarrassing blunder down under.
The US president thanked Australian premier John Howard for visiting 'Austrian troops' in Iraq. He continued his blunders by then confusing the organisations of APEC and OPEC:
Talking at a business forum on the eve of an Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit in Sydney, [Stupie McFuckwit] told Mr Howard: "Mr Prime Minister, thank you for your introduction. Danke schoen for being such a fine host for the OPEC summit."
Australia has never been a member of the Organisation of the Petroleum Exporting Countries.
Then, speech done, Bush confidently headed out -- the wrong way.
He strode away from the lectern on a path that would have sent him over a steep drop. Howard and others redirected the president to center stage, where there were steps leading down to the floor of the theater.

Makes me proud to be a 'murrican' - one of the ones that NEVER voted for any Bush or Reagan!
