Spreadin' freedom an' democritude

Bush and Cheney's asshole buddy charges opponents with treason, hating Pakistan. No, not Ari Fleischer, sillies.

Three politicians and a union activist were charged with treason for making anti-Pakistani government speeches in the southern port city of Karachi, a court official said Thursday. The men were the first to be reported charged with treason since President Pervez Musharraf declared a state of emergency on Saturday and suspended Pakistan’s constitution. Meanwhile, former Pakistani Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto’s party said Thursday that police arrested thousands of its activists overnight, hours after President Bush urged Musharraf to hold elections and quit as army chief.
Bonus: the U.S. Commander-in-Chief tells Musharraf: "You can't be the president and the head of the miltary at the same time."
