A tearful Mitt Romney finds Time magazine's Man of the Year choice "disgusting."
"You know, he imprisoned his political opponents. There have been a number of highly suspicious murders," Romney said. "He has squelched public dissent and free press. And to suggest that someone like that is the Man of the Year is really disgusting. I'm just appalled."
"Clearly General Petraeus is the person, or one of a few people, who would certainly merit that designation," the former Massachusetts governor waffled, sobbing.
Above: Romney's magic underwear clearly has no power to prevent him from crying at the drop of a hat.

Time should have discontinued Person of the Year years ago. No matter how many times they explain that their choice represents the individual who influenced world events during a year, *for good or for ill,* people persist in thinking of Person of the Year as a popularity contest. If Mitt Romney can't understand the nature of Person of the Year, how suited can he be for the intellectual demands of POTUS?
On the other hand, Time caved in in 2001. They themselves violated their own criteria instead of doing away with the "award" and telling everyone why.
