Congrats to both UL and your mentor Maru! It's so refreshing to have some liberal disgust expressed in the vernacular. I certainly enjoy reading the measured words of many of the eloquent, intelligent progressive/liberal authors (ie; Chomsky, Herman, the Parry family, Conason, Zinn, DMG, Chalmers Johnson, etc), but the disgusting things that they uncover/explain are often not adequately emotively expressed with sufficient exclamatory words -- they usually use neutral/academic or mildly negative language. To REALLY impart the appropriate nauseating response -- to things like W Bush CONCOCTING a war where 1 million Iraqis die, 3-4 million are displaced, almost 4000 US soldiers die & 30-40,000 are seriously wounded -- requires outrageous language that begins to capture the shocking immorality.
May you both wear the 'Silver Sailor's Tongue Award' with honor...
