I wonder if Harry is afraid he has planted that idea in some wacko's mind.
If you are over 50 you can not help but worry about that. Obama himself has expressed the concern. Not only does this country have more than its share of racist lunatics, Obama is seen as threatening a lot of powerful interests who may or may not be racist, are not lunatics, but are sociopaths.
You can't put the idea in people's minds. This is similar to asking if a friend is suicidal. They are or they aren't. That said, it's still a pretty fucking stupid question to ask under those circumstances and especially to the last of the living Kennedy brothers.

I agree that it was particularly egregious to ask Teddy Kennedy that question, but it's been a fear of mine since Obama first stepped in. And if you ask your black friends, I think a lot of them will say that they've had this particular fear too.
