'U.S. Vice President Dick Cheney on Monday declared the invasion of Iraq a "successful endeavor" in a visit that was overshadowed by a suicide bombing that killed at least 42 people' and wounded 54.
BAGHDAD - With the insurgency in last throes and five years after he bragged that we would be greeted as liberators, Dick Cheney made a secret, unannounced visit under massive cover here on Monday, to highlight security gains and to assess the glorious surge.
For security reasons, Cheney officials divulged few details about the vice president's schedule and asked reporters not to report on his location until he had moved on to another.Right. With things continuing to be phenomenal, and with gunships circling the city, Baghdad was rocked by explosions during the visits by McSame and Cheney.

With the war now entering its sixth year, millions of Iraqis still lack water, healthcare, basic schooling, electricity, adequate sewage systems, human rights and safety, and even hero/patriot Gen. Petraeus says the surge is sucking wet monkey ass.
