Eliot mess

"The Governor of New York should immediately resign from office and allow the people of New York to pursue honest leadership. The American people are tired of corrupt and hypocritical politicians. The Governor of New York is just another in the long list of politicians that have failed their constituents."
Nick Ayers, Republican Governors Association Executive Director/hypocrite.

You know, people like David Vitter (R), Larry Craig (R), Bob Allen (R), former presidential candidate Rudy Giuliani (R), possible presidential candidate Newt Gingrich (R), possible vice presidential candidate JC Watts (R), Ted Stevens (R), Rick Renzi (R), Lisa Murkowski (R)...

I'm sure triple-divorced, Dominican boy-humper/junkie Rush Limpbaugh is all over this!

Update: morally-superior republicans threaten to impeach Eliot Spitzer if he does not resign within 48 hours, on the grounds that he wasn't caught with some random guy in a filthy airport mensroom.

Hey, just look at this this way: Spitzer has brought down yet another prostitution ring.

His poor wife, having to stand next to him while he admitted his whoring ways.

Actually, that was my thought--bringing down a prostitution ring-as well. If he had not tried to hide the money trail, the Feds might not have gotten interested in which case they would not have bothered with the ring. NPR had a comment from a NYC based "escort service" to the effect that Spitzer got what he deserved for taking his business out of the state.
