If you've got 'big-money/big-business' backing (and the US Sheeple are quiescent -- which is a pretty good bet, at least up until lately) you can CONTINUALLY be wrong and STILL not lose your job! It becomes your 'style', and most aware people smile indulgently and shrug it off. But if you're poor, the wrong color/sex/ethnicity, or dress funny, you could virtually discover a simple cure for cancer and not get more than Section C/Pg 34 coverage. It's 'the American way', especially in Reboob-land.
