Republican Dennis Gallagher has agreed to resign from the New York City Council after pleading guilty to sexually abusing a woman he met at a bar. The Queens district attorney's office said the Republican lawmaker pleaded guilty Monday to forceable touching and sex abuse.Gallagher, who "has a drinking problem," is married and has three children.
