Will Rush Limbaugh be indicted for voter fraud?

God bless America:

"As the board of election in Cuyahoga County, Ohio launches an investigation into illegal crossover voting in the state's 2008 presidential primary, a big open question remains unanswered: Will county officials go after the ringleaders of apparently illegal electioneering where thousands of Republican voters swore -- under penalty of law -- allegiance to the Democratic Party in order to vote for Hillary Clinton?"
It gets better:
What Limbaugh encouraged Republican voters to do in Ohio was a fifth-degree felony in that state, punishable with a $2,500 fine and six to 12 months in jail. That is because in order to change party affiliation in Ohio, voters have to fill out a form swearing allegiance to that party's principles "under penalty of election falsification."

On Thursday, March 20, the Cleveland Plain Dealer reported that the "Cuyahoga County Board of Election has launched an investigation that could lead to criminal charges against voters who maliciously switched parties for the March 4 presidential primary." According to the report, "One voter scribbled the following addendum to his pledge as a new Democrat: "For one day only."

"Such an admission amounts to voter fraud," the report continued.
Mwwwwaaaa! Bonus quote from the article:
For years, Republicans have literally made a federal case of voter fraud.

I can vote in any primary, I can choose to vote for anyone I want, I can choose to vote for someone regardless of my political affiliation. Any attempt to stop me is in violation of us federal law.

US code
TITLE 42 > CHAPTER 20 > SUBCHAPTER I > § 1971
(b) Intimidation, threats, or coercion
No person, whether acting under color of law or otherwise, shall intimidate, threaten, coerce, or attempt to intimidate, threaten, or coerce any other person for the purpose of interfering with the right of such other person to vote or to vote as he may choose, or of causing such other person to vote for, or not to vote for, any candidate for the office of President, Vice President, presidential elector, Member of the Senate, or Member of the House of Representatives, Delegates or Commissioners from the Territories or possessions, at any general, special, or primary election held solely or in part for the purpose of selecting or electing any such candidate.

You are absolutely correct in a general election, however the primaries are not votes to elect the president they are the means in which a candidate is selected and in a closed primary state such as Ohio switching parties simply to play a game is voter fraud on your part....Enjoy your 6 to 12 months if you are caught.. and I hope rush is your roomie for his part in manipulating the process to favor the Republican party...

You have violated a state law which says you must declare an affiliation to a party to vote in thier primary. These laws were put in place in many states to prevent exackly what you did....manipulate the process by which party candidates are selected to ensure the weaker candidate will face the other parties choice... If the Republican choice is so weak that you must face the #2 choice of the democrats then you have bigger problems than you are willing to face. In the general election you are free to choose either party on the ballot because they should represent the best candidate from each party.. Besides do you want 4 more years of sinking lower and lower in world power status and with an economy near the breaking point? And after 8 years under Bush and a Republican Congress you cannot blame the Democrats no matter how hard you stretch the facts...

Just curious...

Remember those Obama campaign flyers, "Become a Democrat for a day," which were sent to primary voters in several states?

Isn't that the same thing Rush did?

I haven't kept up with this Rush investigation story, so I don't know the details.
