LaMew was last seen smiling, purring, frolicking across the Rainbow Bridge, happy to see some beloved old pals and realizing the New Splendor Pad has Fishy Ponds, forests, flowering fields full of meece, and fragrant Nip pastures beyond.
LaMew sent a message on the wind of the Purr Channel to his Hyoomin--"I sorry U Sad, but be glad ai iz in a berry gud place. Ai wiw alwaiz lub U."

I'm so sorry, maru. It's never easy, but the joy she brought will live on.
It is never easy to lose a loved one but to shut ourselves off from animals, people or plants in fear of the pain of loss is worse.
You made a difference in LaMew's life and yours as well. Well done.

Maru, I am so sorry to hear about LeMew. Our kitties are such important little beings. Big souls in little furry bodies. When I had to put my own 13-year-old cat Cora down in March, my vet said to me, "You'll see her again," and I believe I will. I already see her in every part of the house she loved so much...her perch by the window..the kitchen counter on which I let her hop onto each day to share a bit of the cream I'd use for my coffee...everywhere. LeMew is still there in spirit for you, too. My condolences.

The finest pleasures in life come from our kitties' love. Who wouldn't mourn a fine kitty, aside only from the truly monstrous? You have our condolences.
So sad - too many of my kitties have passed...and I'm all "'Baroo' Where's Maru?"
I'm holding LaMew and Maru in Quakerly light (I hope neither of you mind). I also hope that Maru is taking time off to remember LaMew in joy and grief. When the time is right I trust that Maru will be able to return. Until then I refuse to pay much attention to the "news," as WTF has become something of a lifeline to me - on this blog truth speaks to power and reveals the emperor's plug-ugly nakedness simultaneously. My sanity has been much improved since I discovered WTF. Thank you Maru and Undie Lib and JasonC and DivaGeek for the gift you are providing to so many strangers.
