Disapproval of the aWol DisasterMonkey breaks all records, number of moron-Americans still high.
Bush has set a record he'd presumably prefer to avoid: the highest disapproval rating of any president in the 70-year history of the Gallup Poll. Why do Americans hate America?
In a USA Toady/Gallup Poll taken Friday through Sunday, 28% of Americans approve of the job Bush is doing; 69% disapprove. The approval rating matches the low point of his presidency, and the disapproval sets a new high for any president since Franklin Roosevelt.
Assessments of Bush's presidency are harsh. By 69-27%, those polled say Bush's tenure in general has been a failure, not a success.
Not to worry, I'm sure his numbers will go up after his appearance on "Deal or No Deal" where he actually joked about the shitty economy.
Asswipe.

You know, like most of us visiting/blogging this website, I have an often irreverent sense of humor and I appreciate dark humor about our predicaments -- it helps keep one from going crazy.
However, the context of WHO is saying it can make ALL the difference in the world! If Leno/Letterman/SNL etc told a joke about the economy or whatever, it might well be funny, but when the people DIRECTLY responsible for the problem (economy, Iraq, Catholic child molesting, etc) tell a joke about it, then it's morphs over into inappropriate. For instance, it's one thing for the oppressed people of a country (lets call them Iraqis?) to make sardonic, black comments about their plight in order to try to cope with the horrible conditions -- however, it's NOT funny when some frat-brat who orchestrated the whole thing makes light of their sufferings. One is shared humor, the other is subjugating 'humor'.
Al Franken made the same observation about Bush's yuk-it-up search for WMDs under chairs and tables at the white house correspondents dinner, pointing out that Bush is probably the only guy in the world who cannot make a joke about it.
Of course, this sort of thing defines Bush's monstrous tone-deafness in this regard. Fuck all else, I've got mine and so do my friends. He coulsn't care less what an average American citizen-- let alone an Iraqi-- thinks.
Incidentally, what the hell happened to Howie Mandel's hair?
