The nation's top two Air Force officials -- including Chief of Staff Gen. Michael Moseley -- are "resigning," due to disagreements with lawmakers and Defense Secretary Robert Gates over a couple of faux-pas concerning ICBMs and some ethical lapses.
Fun fact: Gates asked them to step down. Why does the Defense Secretary hate our troops?

You know i hate to say this and perhaps it is the contrast to Rumsfeld, but Gates has turned out better than I had hoped.
I hope this is the beginning of Bush appointee purges. ( Though I know he will only appoint others who will screw up even more.)
