My Head is Spinnin'
Is it possible that the American people are so stupid and easily manipulated that they would fall for this steaming pile of Rovian Bullshit?
ABC News’ Christianne Klein reports that at a breakfast with Republican insiders at the Capitol Hill Club this morning, former White House senior aide Karl Rove referred to Sen. Barack Obama, D-Illinois, as “coolly arrogant.”Fun Fact: Due to the color of his skin,
“Even if you never met him, you know this guy,” Rove said, per Christianne Klein. “He’s the guy at the country club with the beautiful date, holding a martini and a cigarette that stands against the wall and makes snide comments about everyone who passes by.”
Oh, yeah, the guy who worked as a community organizer, university lecturer in Constitutional law, State Senator, who just paid off his student loans, an elitist, unlike the Straight-talkin Maverick™.
Nice try, Smegmabreath.

Beyond it's obvious lie about Obama (as you related so well, UL),Rove's analogy obviously says a lot more about HIS elitism! Using a country club setting to try to comment on elitism ?? Hell, by definition, virtually anyone in any significant country club IS elitist, at least in terms of income, since you typically are paying $10K-$50 (and up) for initiation, and then $1K-$2K/month mandatory spending in the bar/dining room + golf/tennis, etc (and those are 'modest Midwest' figures -- you can undoubtedly double/triple that for large 'elitist' cities like NYC, Potomac/DC, Boston, etc)!
This is just more Rovian attempts to try to be 'clever', but it's laughably transparent in it's attempts to offer a superficial distraction to the crimes of W and his dick Cheney.
