Bitter voters are just a bunch of WATBs, says McCain campaign

LOLOL. Phil, you magnificent bastard! Oh yeah --

Phil Gramm, the top economic adviser to John McCain, referred to the economic slowdown as "a mental recession," and referred to the United States as “a nation of whiners. You just hear this constant whining... "
The comments, in an interview with the Moonie Times, could hurt the campaign’s efforts to convince working-class Americans that the rich elitist McCain feels their pain.
Gee, ya think? That is, if the MCM even bothers to pick this up at all. It's been awwwwwfully quiet out there...

McInsane/Gramm about average Americans hurting: "Let them eat cake."

Obviously Gramm's favorite doll growing up was his Marie Antoinette Talking Barbie, and his favorite animal the ostrich. Otherwise, I have no explanation for his statements.

What an out-of-touch, ignorant wanker. I'd like to trade bank accounts with this dude.

Heh. Judging by Google News feed and Memeorandum, the MSM is all over this one.

Hey, grandpa - keep ol' Gramm-slam on as your adviser, OK? Please?

Yeah, that's rich - - "a nation of whiners.." - - coming from a CONSERVATIVE. Just listen (if you can stomach it) to just a 30 minute sample of their talk-radio from the last 20 or 30 yrs and you'll hear whining & complaining (or at least propaganda presented in that format).
