I am sorry for the loss his family and loved ones are experiencing. As much as I loathed the cover he gave Bush, the pain of loss of a father, husband, son or brother is something that humanity dictates we acknowledge.
I feel bad for his family. And I think that working for Bush likely contributed to his death.....you know, working in a toxic environment will give you cancer, too. And there are many kinds of toxins.
Some Nazis are even cute and well-spoken and have nice families. Party fascists are, however nice the front, bigoted soulless monsters beneath the facade. If Tony-the-Fixer gets any classes On-The-Other-Side at the Temple of Wisdom, let us hope he gets the insight to see what a fucking evil ideology he worked for, realizes catastrophe capitalism is sociopathic, and let him during his next Lifetime vow to alleviate pain and suffering on this planet rather than create if for profit.
Rest In Paradigm-Shifting Remedial Education, Tony.
Speak no ill of the dead is a superstition based on the belief that the souls of the dead would hear their names and haunt the speaker. Yes, it's sad his wife and family lost him. But he did more to help push this misadministration's policies than most, and for that &mdash well, let's just say if there was a hell, he'd be toasting marshmallows with a short-handled fork in a warm place.
Saying gesundheit's based on a dumb superstition too, but it's kinda nice, don'tcha think?
Dancing on his grave makes you come off like a ghoulish creep. Helms, sure. Lived well past the point when redemption was still an option, and died an enviable death. Neither's true of Snow.
As a huge bastard, I'm shocked to find myself one of the more charitable souls on the internet these last two days. Christ, people, not every opposition death is a chance for you to portray yourselves as morally superior to the deceased. Maybe just feel pity for a guy who wasted his copious talents in service of wrongheaded ideas. That doesn't take a herculean amount of decency, not if I can manage it.
(kudos to this place--there's at least some mercy on display, unlike a lot of threads)

Evil as he was, at least he was one of the smarter ones, and I guess that counts for something.
It had to drive him crazy that he was working for such a freaking dumbass...

Is there a separate circle of hell for unrepentant fucking liars?
The evil that men do lives after them; the good is oft interred with their bones. ~ William Shakespeare
