McStain doesn't want to take your money....

but that darned old Social Security Administration makes him take it. No matter that your spouse is worth 520 gajillion dollars, you'd feel obligated to take the filthy lucre, wouldn't you?

Americans have got to understand that we are paying present-day retirees with the taxes paid by young workers in America today. And that's a disgrace. It's an absolute disgrace, and it's got to be fixed.

Republican presidential candidate John McCain says he is receiving Social Security checks, but he says the system needs to be fixed if future generations are to enjoy the same benefits.

In addition to his Senate salary, he gets a Social Security check, a VA disability check, and a military retirement check.

The military retirement was reduced by the amount of the Social Security check when he reached 65.

He is covered by Medicare, Tricare [military health insurance], and his Senate insurance. He is also eligible to use military and VA facilities.

His wife is covered by Tricare and may use military facilities because he is retired.

He has been covered by a Federal government security blanket his entire life.
