Barack the Antichrist: Part Two of a Never-Ending Series, Coming Soon

From the department of you've got to be fucking shitting me:

Republican John McCain on Friday defended his campaign's new Web ad mocking Barack Obama as a presumptuous messianic figure, saying it was important to "display a sense of humor" in the presidential contest.
The new ad, with a voiceover calling Obama "The One," features clips of the Democratic contender appearing to describe himself and his presidential quest in grandiose terms — saying such things as, "This was the moment when the rise in the oceans began to slow, and our planet began to heal." The ad ends with Charlton Heston as Moses parting the Red Sea in the movie, "The Ten Commandments."

wrong link??

It's the correct link. The point is that the framing of Obama has now taken on a religious meme, soon to be developed into the antichrist.
Or something like that.

This McCain talk (ie; criticism of Obama because he is TOO popular??!?) is strictly high-school LOSER-compensation stuff. "Oh, yeah! I didn't win the homecoming king election because I'm not as popular as Joe who got it! He's TOO popular - he's the anti-Christ". Even most high-schoolers would see through that and laugh the loser out of the conversation. Problem here of course is that too many of the American Sheeple have proven their gullibility to Rovian tactics -- as long as they keep repeating the message, enough dim-bulb voters will start to internalize it as 'the truth' and vote stupidly.

And don't forget, Obama is Hitler. I have it on the best of authorities -- a right wing blog! Sigh.

Kathleen Parker must have gotten the fax -- she played the same theme in a column a few days ago.
