Manly man-of-the-people dodges questions as country, Wall St panic

Brave Codpiece von CommanderGuy cuts and runs from making his planned comments on how he destroyed the economy.

With little explanation, [the drooling DisasterMonkey] on Tuesday scrapped a statement he planned to give on the tumultuous financial markets, abandoning any press coverage of his meeting with key economic advisers as more developments roiled Wall Street.

Beyond canceling his statement, Bush on Tuesday twice brushed off chances to comment about economic conditions.

Touring Hurricane Ike recovery efforts in Texas, he declined to answer a reporter's question about the financial markets while in Houston. Then in Galveston, a reporter shouted a question about the teetering state of AIG.

"We're here talking about the people of Galveston, Texas," Bush said tersely, staying on message.

Fuckwad. The message is people are frightened that the economy seems to be in ruins and are kinda a little bit interested what Preznit GameBoy and his 'key economic advisers' have to say about it.

Update: oh, here it is: misadministration "upbeat on economy." Woo. Par-tay.
