The rock band "Heart" may have asked John McCain and Sarah Palin stop playing their song "Barracuda" at their rallies, but the campaign is apparently paying no heed.Apparently they still haven't listened to the words yet either…it is not a song about a nice person.
The track — played at the Republican National Convention in honor of the Vice Presidential nominee, who earned the nickname "Sarah Barracuda" playing high school basketball in Alaska — was pumped through the streets of Lebanon, Ohio on Tuesday morning at an outdoor rally before the GOP ticket showed up.
And I can't believe the best promotion for this woman is her HIGH SCHOOL nickname.

The repugs are always stupid that way. do you remember in the 80's when they used Born in the USA? I don't think they listened to the lyrics to that one either.
Their appeal to the run-of-the-mill voter HAS to be all vague imagery, snippets of morality, superficiality squared, because their handlers know that if most of their poor supporters got a real idea of what they stand for, they'd abandon them. I'm alternately amused and disheartened when I hear co-workers complaining about the corporate world, or the Iraq War, or high gas prices, etc - - but then go on to channel the Reich-wing talking points about politics.
