Failin still not ready to be vice president

First of all, how badly did Gwen Ifill suck? Why was she even there? My shoes could've done a better job.

"Palin started strong and then started to flail. Biden started off boring and hit his stride as the debate went on. Ifill's jacket consistently sucked."

LOL. I love this sort of shit! Well, we've never pretended to be grown up here.

Caribou Barbie... she was perky, assertive and talked and talked and talked, without saying very much. Between that and the utter vacuity I caught myself drooling a few times. Except when she was lying -- I yelled so much that I frightened poor Ozzie, who was curled up next to me. And for all the yammering she still came across as oblivious -- like she wouldn't notice you choking on a chickenbone even if you two were the only people in a room. She'd just go on chirpily yawping. But she did a heckuva job reading off those talking points, dontcha know!

Oh, and I loved her bit about 'ending partisan politics' when a) McSame voted with Bush 95% of the time, b) has spent 98% of his time in the campaign attacking and smearing Barack Obama, and c)totally blew him off in the Senate the other day. Then there was the whole 'supporting the troops' thing, when McInsane either voted against or never even bothered to show up for most of the troop-funding votes.

"Hey, can I call ya" Joe was polite, terse, and by a majority of accounts won the debate -- even though I was positive it was going to go to Bible Spice since she didn't crap on-stage. Though the pundits loved her, the Ameican people gave the win to Joe Biden. There may be some hope after all.

From a NY Times editorial:

In the end, the debate did not change the essential truth of Ms. Palin’s candidacy: she can learn her talking points and make a good impression under controlled circumstances. But Mr. McCain made a wildly irresponsible choice when he picked someone with far too little experience or evident knowledge for the post. That choice shattered the image that Mr. McCain created for himself as the tempered, seasoned, experienced man of principle and judgment. Picking Ms. Palin was either an act of incredible cynicism or appallingly bad judgment.

Dude. And if I hear "folksy" one more time, I'm going to barf. Haven't eight years of (faux) folksy been enough? You betcha!
