Morning must-reads

  • Palin's talent scout: "No wonder Bill Kristol has remained so positive about her while other neocons have fled. He helped push her to the veep ticket — and won out against Karl Rove."

  • Preznit DisasterMonkey "tried to reassure the nation today that the economy is strong enough to weather the current crisis, but by the time Bush stopped speaking nine minutes later, the market had dropped another 107 points."

  • Colin Powell's sad slide into stupidville: at Sen. Tube Stephens' trial, praises Ted's "reputation [sic] for honesty and integrity" as "sterling."

  • After ... yeah, right ... trying to ... please! ... dial back some of the hatred against Sen Obama, now the McInsane campaign is going after his wife. You know, the wife who ISN'T a drug-addled junkie who was arrested for stealing from her own's children's charity.

  • Readers of MSNBC.com are appalled at the McKKKain camp's defense of its lynch mobs (check the comments).
