Those Repukelican leaders/campaign managers are historically in CONSTANT 'attack mode'! It's irrelevant to them if their rhetoric today is all or mostly lies/gross exaggeration, because they're just going to be telling completely different lies tomorrow, so why bother keeping score (they seem to say)-- that's just 'reality based' thinking. They're after EMOTIONAL reactions / visual images / voice inflections. Their point seems to be to try to keep the 'emotional level' of the campaign at a CONTINUOUS high-level, because then their supporters (and gullible independents) don't have time/opportunity to CALMLY think things through, in a generally rational, peaceful manner.
