And Commander von Bunnypants sinks to a new, new low. Get this: worse than fucking Nixon. Worse than the worst president ever. Worse. Yes, in spite of everything, I'm LMFAO.
A tornado of economic discontent is buffeting the nation, sending satisfaction with the country's direction to a 35-year low, George W. Bush's approval rating below Richard Nixon's worst – and Barack Obama, boosted by economic empathy, to his best-yet advantage in the presidential race.
At 23 percent, Bush's job approval rating has fallen below Nixon's lowest; it's a point away from the lowest in 70 years of polling, set by Harry Truman in early 1952. Bush's disapproval, meanwhile, is at an all-time record – 73 percent.

According to a new Washington Post-ABC News poll, McRove now has higher negative ratings than Sen. Obama and is seen as being more interested in running as a total fucking dick rather than addressing the issues that voters care about.
On taxes, an issue McCain has been aggressively highlighting, Obama has gained a significant lead over his lying, cranky-ass opponent, 52 percent to 41 percent. And that's just for starters. We're even seeing McCain supporters becoming "less enthusiastic" about his candidacy. Here's some new ones:
Two former rivals for the party nomination, [losers] Mitt Romney and Tommy Thompson, went on the record over the weekend about the disarray in the Republican camp. And a string of other senior party figures said McCain's erratic performance risks taking the party down to heavy losses not just in the presidential race but also in contests for Congressional seats.
Mr Thompson, a former governor of the swing state of Wisconsin, said he thought McCain, on his present trajectory, would lose the state, and he told a New York Times reporter he was not happy with the campaign. "I don't know who is," he added.

And I'm guessing nobody has the guts to tell him to his face because they're too afraid the nutjob'll rip their heads off and stuff them down their spurting necks. Even Bill "unicorns & machine guns" Kristol, who was instrumental in getting Failin picked as running mate, is getting agita:
The McCain campaign, once merely problematic, is now close to being out-and-out dysfunctional. Its combination of strategic incoherence and operational incompetence has become toxic. If the race continues over the next three weeks to be a conventional one, McCain is doomed.
"Strategic incoherence"? You mean he's running a repulsive, boneheaded campaign on purpose? Nutty. Then again, Kristol has been wrong on absolutely everything.
Another worried conservaturd is strategist and blowhole Ed Rollins, who we like to imagine as running around screaming with his arms over his head, his paunch threatening to whap him in the nose:
Shit!!!!! Shitshitshitshitshitshitshit!!!!!!!!
