Beyond 'meh'

Senate Democrats jellyfish shamefully tongue-bathed Joe the Lieberman (I-Me!) for his rethuglican ballgargling, allowing him to keep the powerful Homeland Security committee, smug grin on his stupid smeggy phiz.

Senators and aides said yesterday that Sens. Christopher Dodd (Spineless Meat-hole) and Ken Salazar (Scrotelicking Jerkwad) would present a plan at the caucus meeting that would strip the traitorous prunesack of a low-profile subcommittee chairmanship, possibly one on global warming.

Gahhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!! Big fucking whoop.

The insufferable quisling supported John McCain for president, but many Senate Democrats said he crossed a line during his speech at the republican convention in September, when he said the possibly Marxist Barack Obama was not prepared to be president.
Ya think?? He also has come under criticism for supporting the reelection of republican Norm Coleman, one of the biggest assholes in Congress.

None of that mattered. Pathetic. When the smug vichycrat threatened to join his repuke buttbuddies if his HS position was revoked, the Dems caved. You guys make me sick. Inclusion is one thing. Awarding a traitor is another. I'm so fucking disgusted right now.

Eat me.

You have that right. I gave a fair amount to the party in the 2006 cycle because I thought it was really, really important for the country for the Dems to get Congress back. Turns out I was wrong--they got control and nothing changed. I was so disgusted that I did not send a dime this cycle and the whole Lieberman deal is not going to change my mind. The idea that Obama wanted him to stay is ludicrous--of course he would say that for public consumption presumably secure in the knowledge that the party would do the right thing--wrong. i am almost as embarrassed to say I voted for democrats as I would have been had Palin been elected. I put Reid in the same class as Dumbya--a total and complete incompetent.

That's a good gesture, Kid, but unless you're a big corporation willing to pour lots of cash into campaigns, it's not your money they're paying attention to.

As I've said ad nauseum over the years, there will be no true change or reform until corporate cash is taken out of the political system. The Dems are beholden to corporate paymasters. All of them. Even the ultra popular Obama.

The whole damned Democratic convention was a dance party funded by corporations. They didn't do it out of the kindness or their hearts. The corporations expect something back.

And why DID Obama vote for telecom immunity in the Senate? Is it because AT&T was the biggest bankroller of the Dem convention? Probably at least part of the answer.

Makin' me sick. Feh!

Surprise surprise... Dem politicians are the same vile parasites as Repub politicians.

And you learned this just now?

That sort of naïveté in the face of centuries of evidence is precisely the sort of thing that makes baby Jeebus cry.

So now you see why we akratists are the way we are. If the choice is between a shit sandwich or a vomit-burger, we say 'Neither, thanks. I'll make my own salad.' -we don't try to convince ourselves that the vomit-burger would be really great simply because we've had shit sandwiches fo the last eight years.

Cheerio

I didn't give a dime to anyone this election cycle, mostly because I cannot afford to heat my house, pay my property taxes or participate in anything beyond my basic expenses of driving to work and feeding my family.

I am keeping hope that Obama has a method to his madness. If nothing else it is keep your friends close and your enemies closer. Right now he has no actual power and I am hoping he is zooming a few people, including Lie ber man, into a comfort zone only to bring down the righteous reality on their heads on 1-21-09. Hello brave new, fair new world.
