Liberal commie hotbed.... what? Texas?? Cool. In what we can only hope will be the first of many, Dick Cheney and former Bush spankmonkey/Attorney General Alberto Ghraibzales have been indicted, on state charges involving "organized criminal activity" related to the alleged abuse of inmates in federal prisons.
Cheney is charged with engaging in criminal activity related to the "vice" president's investment in a financial group which holds interests in companies running the federal detention centers. He he also accused of conflict of interest and "at least misdemeanor assaults" on detainees.
A spokeswoman for Cheney declined to comment, saying that the vice president was out shooting at a copy of the indictment.
Abuto Gonzales is charged with using his position while in office to stop an investigation into abuses at one of the prisons.
Gonzales' attorney, George Terdwiggler, said in a written statement, "My client does not recall stopping any investigation, nor does he recall whether he ever held office."

Surprisingly, many of us Texans wholeheartedly support this.
Whee! Austin!
George Terdwiggler!!

Your site, even if a bit strong on (brilliantly devised) name-calling, is truly refreshing from a progressive (and humanist) standpoint.
I find your takes, and sharp jabs, quite hilarious, and usually uncompromisingly appropriate. I invariably find great resonance with my own views here.
I wish you would introduce a more interactive forum at this site. It seems to be lacking an active readers' forum such as we see at, say, Buzzflash, or CrooksandLiars, or Common Dreams.
In any case, you have a most lively place for caring and rightfully angry people to see narrow and vicious politics for what it is. Keep up this crucial and desperately needed work.
Monish, thank you. As far as having a more interactive forum, I wish I could. I don't know how to do that, though! Anybody?
I do not know if this helps. Most interactive sites appear to have a direct link to an article or news source, followed by a "comments" link.
At WTF, it is mostly your own commentary (which I believe is quite valuable), without an extended link to the story itself. Such a link, with a "comments" forum, would greatly increase your visibility and outreach.
Perhaps the folks over at Buzzflash, C&L, Democratic Underground and so forth, might be able to provide you some ideas.
In any case, please continue your good work. Even my son and daughter enjoy some of your comments (which occasionally I have to explain to them).
The links are there, usually in purple text. Maybe I should make them more visible?
