And more on the way tomorrow!

Hi guys, we're trapped like beaver after 12 inches of firm... whoa. That's not coming out right. We got a foot of snow and now we're waiting for a plowing from the kid next door. Damn. Anyhoo, here's a pic from around 3 yesterday:

Those lumpy things are whiskey-barrel planters and there's supposed to be a road back there.

How's your day going?

Yeah, been liking the last few years of very mild winters in RI. This shit sucks. Very pretty, now take it away and don't do it again for the remainder of the winter. WTF? I was holding out for global warming.

Maybe 70" on the mountain for half ass decent skiing I'm told but not much down below. I'm sure there's a bunch coming.

Colorado's been gray and cold, a foot of last weeks snow not going anywhere and new fresh due in any time. it's been pretty, and the new wood stove is working double time. It keeps a happy and hot fire going efficiently. GREAT weather to bake by!

It's snowing again, another 3-6 inches forecasted. The roads are a mess, there's not much food in the pantry, and I've watched most of my DVDs. I'm watching the lava lamp right now. Whee!

Things are nasty here in Milwaukee,WI area - - around 14" of snow on Friday, a couple of more last nite (Sat), and now some nice sub-zero temps with 20 mph winds gusting to 40, with those pleasant -35º to -40ºF wind-chills. They're plowing pretty well here in the 'burbs and we've been getting out occasionally, but you hate to have to do it. It's kinda sick, but we're looking FORWARD to the 25º temps predicted for Tuesday!

here in hills of middle jersey the top of the snow froze pretty solid; birdies can at least pick food off ground more easily - me I's huddle w the kitties where it's warm - in bed!

About the same way as it is in your pics...more snow inbound again tonight. But at least I got to make an Ugly Bushie snowman and get the pics up at the blog!

Heh!

I made the blue jays very happy yesterday -- I had practically a whole bag of peanuts left over from when we made Kung Pao Chicken, so I put a crapload out on the snow for them. At one point I counted 15, either eating, waiting in line, or zooming in from across the street. The peanuts were gone within minutes.

It was funny to watch: some jays would swallow one whole -- these are the peanuts still in the shell -- before grabbing another in their beaks to fly off with. They also looked like they were weighing them before making their final decision, the smart little buggers.
