As Joe at AmericaBlog says, this is "almost funny. Bush and his political minions, led by Karl Rove, were on a crusade of destruction and divisiveness. They reveled in making the tone worse and a lot uglier."
For the past 8 years -- at least -- they've been joyfully making the slime pie higher, going all-out to demonize everyone and everything that didn't have an R after its name or wasn't endorsed by a rethuglican. We were unpatriotic defeatocrap traitors in league with the terrorists. We were troop-haters who hated America. We were soft, baby-murdering Islamocommiedefeatohomofascist cheese-eating surrender-monkeys who wanted the terrists to win. Ooooh, the tone in Washington got worse. Go fucking figure. Maybe he can find a way to blame that on Bill Clinton, too. Fucking clueless jerkoff.
