The Air is beginning to smell better. A new Spring time is on its way. Fresh new Life and Dreams potently quicken toward blooming. Americans are happy again after 8 years of utter misery and broken heartedness and lost hope.

If only we could make up to the lives of the innocent and troops lost for the BushCo crimes.

I still don't see how the world can ever forgive us unless we really make the psychpaths EAT IT RAAAAAAWWWWWWW for what they did to not just Americans but the world! Just the world pollution issue is enough to make the rest of the world despise us. So much to FIX.

I think it's incredibly important that the laundry list of BushCoDarth Crimes NOT be swept under the rug to move onto sunnier better times, because those 8 years represent true evil that we as a nation spawned.

We MUST never stop talking about their crimes, get them into song and poetry and spoken word, plays, wild art of monsters, the WRETCHED 8. If we ignore it the world will forever after look at us rightfully with a jaundiced eye. We need to take responsibility for having a large enough segment of ignorant citizens who could be conned into supporting these fascist sociopaths, and for that 23 percent who still do. JEEBUS.

I think we need to round up that 13 percent who "support" Teh Dick. A documentary on THAT crew of AMericans would be fascinating. Inbred much? Psyche-med foul up, much? Crack/Meth brain-damage MUCH? Who the hell ARE those fuktard "Americannots that APPROVE OF DICK CHENEY????"

Thinking people NEED to know.

Watching that helicopter take off was as memorable as my first orgasm.
Pure joy.
And Michelle bringing Pickles a box of hash brownies for the ride back to hooterville was a nice touch.
Now it's off to drink some champagne!!!!!!!

I've only heard parts of the inuagural speech -- and it SURE is nice to have an articulate, coherent president again! Even if he turns out to be more moderate than progressive, it's refreshing to have a POTUS who can hold his own verbally and also express nuances, not some guy who sounds like an ex-fighter who took too many punches.
Like the old blues song said: "Been down so long bottom looks like up to me"..

I also agree with WANGMO about the horrible impression (deservedly earned) that the world (sans Israel) has about the US. It'd be morally invigorating to see W and his cronies in front of the ICC for war crimes, though it's almost an utter fantasy in this day and age.

It was cold, the walk from Union Station was long, my feet and legs still ache from Inauguration day, my 11-year-old managed to put up with it with nary a complaint, and even 3 hours' FUBAR at the return train in Union Station didn't dim the day.

His speech was not "Ask what you can do for your country" inspiring. It was way better -- it revealed an intelligent, careful, intellectually curious and genuinely nice man as president and public servant in chief.

I loved the contrast between the initial sentiment ("Thank you for your service, President Bush") and the next 15 minutes of basically showing that the next (I hope) 8 years will be completely different and that the last eight were all a horrible dream
