Ah ha ha ha ha ha!

Senile old fuck thinks it's April Fools Day!

McCain says Obama needs to work on bipartisanship.
No, really.
Alzheimer's sufferer John McCain said on Friday that President Barack Obama should include Republicans in his plans sooner if he really wants their support after the bitter debate over the $787 billion economic stimulus bill.

The Arizona senator said many other issues coming up will require a bipartisan effort that he said has been lacking so far from Obama and the Democrats.

"I hope they've learned a lesson," he said. "The message of the election was, sit down and work together. They obviously are not doing that," he said.
Just fucking FUCK THEM, Mr President. Jeebus Christ on a hotdog. Enough already.

Just finishing up reading an EXCELLENT book by Thomas Frank called "The Wrecking Crew", about how the conservative Republicans (which is nowadays virtually one-in-the-same) have had a literal strategy to fuck-up the government -- to 'monkey-wrench' it, to sabotage it -- in order to prove that government DOESN'T WORK and we shouldn't even expect it to! It's certainly consistent with what they do and say.

An excellent on-line article is this DMGreen entry: http://www.commondreams.org/view/2009/02/13-4 -- especially near the end where he recommends that Obama let the Repukelicans filibuster and then Obama would go on TV and excoriate them for being blockers.

I'm totally with you on this "bipartisan" crap.

I also thought I was the only one who thought Gregg got the horsehead-in-the-bed treatment. Thanks for making me feel a little more sane.

Cognitive dissonance. Either they have it or they are trying to create it. If they are trying to create it in this economy they have lost. If they have it they are about to be steamrollered and they will never see it coming.
