Circling the jerk-wagons

Let the pants-jizzing commence! Conservatards are obviously feeling that they have to prove their fealty to their Great Leader. Here, dimwitted twat James Lewis of the ironically-named americanthinker.cum gets all huffy, and takes umbrage, stupidity and shameless tongue-bathing to new depths (I'm still finding hard to believe this wasn't written as a parody):

"Rush Limbaugh ‘just an entertainer?' Well, Mark Twain was an entertainer. But he was also one of the finest satirical voices in our history, a searing mocker of our national conscience at the time of slavery. For the Chairman of the Republican Party to call Limbaugh 'just an entertainer' is both inaccurate and political suicide. Michael Steele saw that quickly, and apologized. ‘Nuff said. Steele allowed himself to slip on CNN's carefully scripted banana peel, but he knew better. Most of our media Neanderthals don't. They really are ignorant, and the more cocksure they sound, the more you can be sure they don't get the Limbaugh phenomenon."

Uh, yeah. But wait -- it gets so much better. Get this (itals mine):

"After all, they aren't picked for their capacity for independent thought."

Bwaaaahahaha :: deep breath :: hahahahha! Mega-dittos, Rush! Hahahahahahaha! My fucking sides...

Gawd. The rest of the piece is amazing in its toadying: the jolly, fun-loving genius Mr Limbaugh is a "political philosopher," "devastatingly clever," a "great oak" and a "devastating wit in the Burkean political tradition." He's "quick on his feet, floats like a butterfly and stings like a bee." You'll feel sticky just reading it.

Mr Lewis gets around to comparing President Obama to Hitler in the fifth paragraph of this tripe, and later says its the left that can't stand to "hear dissenting voices." This after all the apologizing, kowtowing and fellating that has ensued just because someone had the audacity to call the radio host an "entertainer"! Unfuckingbelievable.

What is also unfuckingbelievable is the fact that

Wow, how soon we forget.

Back in the nineties, every time Rush got caught lying, he whined that he was not a journalist, just an entertainer.

Somebody with more time and patience than me is going to write a hilarious post in the next couple of days demonstrating that nobody claims Limbaugh is "just an entertainer" more than Limbaugh himself.
