Movin' On

It seems that there is a job that Winky Failin won't get to opportunity to quit, campaigning for Rushthuglibots:

Republicans facing tough elections in 2010 don’t want Sarah Palin campaigning with them.

Though the soon-to-be-former Alaska governor is seen as popular with the conservative grass roots, several Republicans said she’d help them by staying home in Wasilla.
Scary thing is, the empty cranial cavities know as "the base" still think she is the reincarnation of combination Joan of Arc, Mother Teresa, and Ronald Reagan.

I have my checkbook out. I just can't decide which campaign is best for America.
Palin/Gingrich?
Gingrich/Palin/?
Cheney/Palin?
Palin/Cheney?
Cheney/Cheney?
Sanford/Palin?

It's a target-rich environment.

Yes. The base are a bunch of ignorant fuck-wits. They probably don't even know who Joan of Arc is, and if you asked, IF they could summon their limited mental faculties to answer at all, it would be "that girl played by Milla Jovovich."

They don't even know anything about Reagan either, except that over the last twenty years he's become some kind of messiah for the Right, not unlike Jesus himself. He performed miracles of not raising taxes (he did actually raise taxes) while still managing to fund the country and make government smaller (he actually made it bigger). And just as they fervently believe in Jesus without any sort of evidence that he even ever lived, they have no problem swallowing the lie of the Right, hook, line and sinker with nary a question in their head about whether what they're taking in is truth or not.

I'd really like to see a Palin/Bachman ticket. This may be enough to permanently separate "the base" from human species.

And now it's time to say goodbye
To Sarah and her kin
And they would like to thank you folks
For kindly dropping in
You're all invited back next week
To this locality
To have a heaping helping of
Their hospitality

ChrisV, that's who. Do you want to send the check to me or, well, might as well send it to my landlady.

Don't know if you're fan of her, but if you would like your socks knocked off, check out Milla's performance in "Dummy".

An accident of timing (career arcs of Adrian Brody and Milla Jovovich) kept the film from theater release, but it's available on DVD and is an undiscovered gem.
