Joe Wilson, Republican of South Carolina, interrupted President Obama with a shout of “You lie,” stunning members of both parties… Critical body language and murmurs of disapproval are typical at presidential addresses and part of the political theater. But members of both parties were trying to recollect such a pointed attack from an individual lawmaker at a presidential address.Duh. Especially since the President was not lying.
Wilson's behavior caused a political hangover for him and possibly for the Republican critics Obama had cast as shrill and more interested in killing any health care overhaul than finding a way to compromise.
Later, Wilson was contrite. He tried to call Obama to apologize personally, but ended up talking with White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel instead, who ripped him a new asshole.Well, he should have.

This is the holy grail for repukes..... MONEY. It makes them cry when they have to spend it in defense of their fucked up medieval policies.
Now they have to pony up their own money to help him out in his upcoming race. Fuck, let's face it, they eventually gave up on Norm Coleman when he became a money pit- and that was BEFORE snarlin Arlen flipped to our side. He'll be another distraction for a few days and will then be kicked to the curb.
The only thing that makes me worried is how soon corporate interests will find a way to funnel money in the same way thru websites to influence the outcomes of elections..... If the SCOTUS latest douchebaggery on campaign finance rules doesn't beat them to it.
Of course, we all know that this latest "mouse that roared" will be hailed by the 20%ers as a hero. He will be the latest true patriot who was brave enough to stand up to the communist machine, only to be ridiculed by a biased liberal press. Or some such shit. Wingnuts will canonize him along with saint Sara.
