Daily Show host Jon Stewart announced his “Rally to Restore Sanity” Thursday night as a protest against extremism and bellicose rhetoric on both the left and the right. Stephen Colbert kept in character as a blowhard conservative by announcing his “March to Keep Fear Alive” right afterwards.
Comedy Central has submitted an application for a permit with the National Park Service for a rally on the National Mall on October 30th.

As soon as Stewart said it I knew I was going. Not going to miss it. I'm also lucky, living 10-miles from DC. But, I'm going; along with a million other SANE Americans!
