As if things weren't bad enough today, one of the dogs is up here farting.

The new parrot is already imitating me. No, he's not yelling "f*cking c***sucker!" at Wolf Blitzer, he's doing my laugh. I wish I could remember what was so funny.

Spotted another red fox in the backyard today. A live one.

Actual Letter to Newsday:

In response to the May 30 letter about Hillary Clinton, I would like to say: Thank God that she has the courage to question a president who has declared himself beyond criticism.

I'm amazed at the way people confuse the Republicans' relentless investigating of the Clintons with actual wrongdoing. !n fact, Hillary Clinton possesses a certificate of political cleanliness (obtained at the small cost to taxpayers of $60 million). Her whole working life - not just her life in the White House - was put under a microscope and prosecutors found absolutely nothing. Very few politicians, given the same level of intensive scrutiny, would have come out as well.

The real scandal is the way the current president is using Sept. 11 to stifle all criticism of his greed and ineptness.
