It poured last night, and though we didn't get the flash flood we were promised, it was wet enough for the mama cat to bring the kittens up.

Adam sent in his list of favorite WWII movies: 'Patton', 'The Big Red One', 'The Dirty Dozen', 'Kelly's Heroes', and 'The Thin Red Line'.

How could I have forgotten 'Patton'?! That movie was a masterpiece. I still get the shivers when he visits the site of the Carthaginian battle, and when he's standing in the middle of the street firing his pistol at the plane strafing him. And then there's 'The Dirty Dozen', which I always get a kick out of - every time I see it I think of the Mad Magazine parody. What was it, 'The Dirty Dozen Rotten Eggs', or something like that? And Donald Sutherland played a great psycho hippie dude in 'Kelly's Heroes'.

One I've started to like is 'In Harm's Way', with Kirk Douglas and John Wayne, leading an all-star cast. I always want to beat the crap out of that snarky Brandon de Wilde character. He's sort of like Tucker Carlson without the bowtie and wacky Bill Clinton fetish.

Thanks, Adam!

Q: Should the new stuff go at the top, or should I leave things the way they are?
