At least it wasn't Venezuelan beaver cheese
A giant block of Norwegian goat cheese gave security services at the Brussels airport a rude shock this week when they took it for bomb.
The formidable block of "brunost" -- a dense brown cube -- sparked alarm from security handlers when Tore Fauske sent it through the carry-on luggage X-ray machine. Fauske was stopped posthaste and made to reveal his belongings. "And the guards visibly retreated when I opened it!" he told the Norwegian daily Stavanger Aftenblad on Tuesday.
In order to persuade them of the cheese's pungent, if harmless, character, Fauske had to unwrap the package and eat it to prove the cheese would not explode. - link
