Whenever Bush is on the Ropes for Lying and Incompetence, He Starts Up with the "Terrorist Alerts." It's a Proven Pattern. The Man is Not to be Trusted as Far as a Dead Dog Can Spit. - headline at BuzzFlash this morning. The story:

Asked about a day-old Department of Homeland Security warning of the possibility of hijackings, serial liar/bungler pReznit Gameboy said: "The threat is a real threat."

"Now that's enough darn questions. I'm goin' on vacation."

Planned Air Marshal Cuts Meet with Hostility
A Bush misadministration plan to cut back the air marshal program that mushroomed after the Sept. 11 attacks was rejected by Republicans and Democrats in Congress.

Democratic senators on Wednesday denounced the plan as "crazy" and "mindboggling" in light of a new warning that al-Qaida may try more suicide hijackings.

It's almost ironic that an AWOL war deserter could actually remember how to pull off a perfect "about face," but the spurious simian managed it. Bunnypants quickly reversed his decision.

The Transportation Security Administration will immediately begin scheduling air marshals back on the high-risk cross-country and international flights. The move comes less than 24 hours after MSNBC.com reported that air marshals were being pulled from those flights because of budget problems. The move to pull marshals from those flights was particularly disturbing because it coincided with a new high-level hijacking threat issued by the Department of Homeland Security, that 'at least one of these attacks could be executed by the end of the summer.'
