S.D. congressman heads to trial in traffic death
What's the effing point?
Bill Janklow, charged with speeding - he was driving 71 mph in a 55 mph zone - running a stop sign, reckless driving and felony manslaughter in the August accident that killed motorcyclist Randy Scott, will claim he suffered a diabetic reaction about the time of the crash.
Excuse me? Just when the holy f*ck is someone going to pull his keys and stick them up his ass sideways??
Twelve times in the 1990s Janklow was cited for speeding, including once when he was ticketed for going more than 90 in a 65 zone. There's also testimony from a woman who says Janklow ran the same intersection at high speed last December, nearly colliding with a truck carrying her family to a Christmas dinner.Swell. According to the record, Janklow took his insulin but had not eaten, and was also taking medication which can "mask symptoms of a diabetic reaction." Yeah, alcohol can do funny things to a person on drugs. Sounds perfectly reasonable to me.
Reboob morality, integrity, and accountability. Doesn't it make you feel all shiny and happy?
Oh, and don't forget family values.
