"Pittsburghers appreciate Ms. Rice's coming here, even this late in the game. What was disappointing was that her presentation was so partisan and out of touch with the reality of the world. If she actually believes what she said Thursday, it is frightening to think she is the president's chief national security adviser."

"I don't think you can win it"
- Squinty McNumbnutz, on the war on terrorism.

In a taped interview with Conservative Circle-jerk Fox News Channel's "insHannity and Some Dead Guy," Bush was asked whether the nation would always be vulnerable to another terror attack and whether Americans would always have to live with that.

"Yes, because we have to be right 100 percent of the time in disrupting any plot and they have to be right once," Bunnypants chirped, faithfully reading from his Karl Rove's Talking Points for Dummies.

He went on to say the nation is safer from terrorism, but "whether or not we can be ever fully safe is up - you know, up in the air."

Up in the air???

John Kerry ridiculed Bush's statement.

"You make me president of the United States, we're going to win the war on terror," Kerry said at a rally in Florida. "It's not going to be up in the air whether or not we make America safe."

Keepin' us uhhhhhh, safer
"The terrorists are helping themselves to greatest explosives bonanza in history."

The Iraqi interim government has warned the United States and international nuclear inspectors that nearly 380 tons of powerful conventional explosives - used to demolish buildings, make missile warheads and detonate nuclear weapons - are missing from one of Iraq's most sensitive former military installations.

The huge facility, called Al Qaqaa, was supposed to be under American military control but is now a no man's land, still picked over by looters as recently as Sunday.
