Lamont: don't fuck with me
The winner of the CT Democratic primary slams pompous asshat and short-circuited cyborg.

Joe Lieberman, who on Wednesday decried 'partisan attacks' and 'partisan politics,' accused Ned Lamont on Thursday of not understanding the threat terrorists pose to homeland security.

Lieberman, desperately trying to keep the job his constituency voted him OUT of, continued to attack Lamont's qualifications yesterday through spokesman Dan Gerstein.

"For Ned Lamont to say what's happening in Iraq has nothing to do with the war on terror shows how ill prepared he is to be a US senator," Gerstein said. "Iraq, right now, is ground zero in terms of terrorist activity."

“Wow,” Mr. Lamont said, after asking a reporter to read the Loserman’s remark about him. “That comment sounds an awful lot like Vice President Cheney’s comment on Wednesday. Both of them believe our invasion of Iraq has a lot to do with 9/11. That’s a false premise.”

"I just think that this Bush administration confuses a comprehensive attack on the terrorists with the invasion of Iraq," Ned Lamont said. "I think the invasion of Iraq was a terrible distraction."

Lamont said the invasion diverted attention and resources from the hunt for Osama bin Laden, port security and other critical areas of national security.

"It hasn't made us safer," Lamont said. "I'm happy to have that debate."

"Both the RNC, Dick Cheney and Joe Lieberman seem to be reading off the same playbook right now," Lamont added. "But I don't think it's going to stick."
