Makin' progress
With the surge continuing to turn Baghdad into an Indiana-like city, violence is now almost at a record-level high.

Car bombs killed 178 people in Baghdad on Wednesday in the deadliest attacks in the city since the US launched a security crackdown aimed at halting the country's slide into bloody flaming anarchy and civil war.
