The Twilight Zone
Yesterday, Dictatertot McJibbery, in a loose collection of garbled sentence fragments and Rovian talking points stated that he wants to work with Democrats on compromise legislation to pay for the Iraq war occupation, but will carry through on his threat to throw a tantrum veto any spending bill that doesn't give him exactly everything he wants. In other words, My way or the highway, Bitchez, in defiance of the will of WE THE PEOPLE:

The Pew Research Center has just released a poll that found six out of 10 Americans do not want President Bush to veto the Iraq spending bill that calls for a timetable for troop withdrawal. That’s almost as many Americans as voted for Al Gore for president in 2000!
The poll detected deep-seated pessimism among Americans for prospects in Iraq, and for the first time a majority (51 percent) of respondents said they did not think the U.S. would succeed in establishing a stable democracy in Iraq. Only a quarter think that the troop surge is having a positive effect and only a third think it will have a positive long-term effect on the situation in Iraq.
Ain't Democracy grand? Let freedom reign!

The Pew Poll is interesting. Why is it that Bill Clinton is viewed as this flaming liberal? I've never understood that.

I guess that he is viewed that way is because of the volume of the Reich-Wing noise machine. The Clenis and his wife are WAY too conservative for me.

Of course the chimperator is not gonna sign the bill. It makes too much sense.

Isn't that the craziest thing to say: I will work with them as long as they do exactly what I want. The man is a criminal in every sense of the word. Next time, give him just enough to get the troops home and then impeach his ass.
